Free radicals are organic molecules which are responsible for tissue damage which can lead to disease. As free radicals are unstable, they bond with other molecules and in the process destroy their vigor which is extremely detrimental to the body. Antioxidants are molecules that stop free radicals from harming healthy body tissues, which is why the high antioxidant levels in sea buckthorn berries help the body to remain healthy.
